Hi there,
I'm trying to run Amelia on a panel dataset that I've used
successfully in the past to generate imputed datasets, except that I
added region dummy variables and another 0-100 variable (where the
value remains constant over time).
I get the following error:
There was an unexpected error in the execution of Amelia.
Double check all inputs for errors and take note of the error message:
Error in matrix(unlist(value, recursive = FALSE, use.names = FALSE),
nrow = nr, :
invalid 'ncol' value (too large or NA)
I've tried this on a few different setups. What can I do now?

Hey all. I am getting the "subscript out of bounds problem" when
trying to impute using the ordinal transformation.
I originally ran the imputation with no transformations, and
everything ran fine. But, after changing a couple of variables over to
ordinal, the program fails. I need these items to be ordinal, becuase
they are dependent variables for vote choice and vote turnout
variables.
Suggestions?
Thanks much,

Hello everyone, I tried to impute a dataset with AmeliaView but during the
second imputation I got the error message:
Error in La.svd(x, nu, nv) : error code 1 from Lapack routine 'dgesdd'
Any clues as to what that might mean? (According to the instructions manual,
error code 1 means Normal run of Amelia, which is not very enlightening in
this case )
I downloaded AmeliaView on February 8, 2007. Could it be that I should
install a newer version?

Dear Amelia enthusiasts,
James Honacker was kind enough to answer my queries re Amelia and combining
datasets; but unfortunately, no one has picked up the thread to help me get
the job done. I have R and Zelig.I can get Zelig to open AmeliaView, then I
can create the imputation files, get back to Zelig and I think it reads the
.csv files (not totally sure about that), but afterwards I don't know how to
write the output commands so I end up with the 1 complete file I can then
convert back to SPSS. Is there any chance someone could help me get this
last bit nailed? It would be greatly appreciated.as I am running out of
time to complete my degree..;(
