Subject: Input is closing the program

My input file is .txt (tab delimited).  I have tried many maneuvers to input the file, but it closes the program (a couple times, I got ?file does not exist?, with the program remaining open).  The data and program are in the path C:\Amelia .  Also, I used the PATH command in autoexec.bat .  The input filename is six characters with the .txt extension.  Thank you for your help to get this working.
