Hi,

I have a couple of questions regarding the use of imputed files under Stata, using Clarify.

Does the 'mi' option allow to read Stata files? If so, do the variables in the file need to be in the same order as I post them in my command?

Let's say I run > Estsimp oprobit y x z, mi(imp1 imp2 imp3)

Should y x and z be in the same order, or will mi recognize the name of my variables? I've been trying to run this, but it hasn't worked .

On a different matter, I don't know if other people had the same problem, but under Windows2000 and WindowsMe, Amelia would not read spss files or some versions of excel. When it does, even if it is an ascii file, it truncates the file.   It would read files saved under Stata v.6 though.

I would like to know whether these are problems related to the operating system or if I am just making silly mistakes (I used Amelia in the past, under NT4 and did not have these sort of problems.)

Thanks,

Carlos
