After reading the article from STATA on cem I tried to implement the imbalance command as exhibited on my dataset

here is what happened.

. imbalance lnasset merger finance foreign mtb lever_cmo roaib ar_in neg_roa roaib retvolx100 ceotenure ln_naf brdsize percindep fyear ff17, treatment(lease)
file lnasset.dta not found
r(601);

Other than the different variables for my data set this is the command provided in the article.
