Hi everyone,
I am trying to install anchors 2.0 (which was downloaded as a tar.gz
source file) on my non-Intel Mac running OS X 10.4.11, and I keep
getting the following error, which terminates the installation:
gcc: installation problem, cannot exec 'i686-apple-darwin8-gcc-4.0.0':
No such file or directory
make: *** [anchors.o] Error 255
chmod: /Users/josephluna/Library/R/2.6/library/anchors/libs/i386/*: No
such file or directory
cc1: error: invalid option 'macosx-version-min=10.4'
make: *** [anchors.o] Error 1
chmod: /Users/josephluna/Library/R/2.6/library/anchors/libs/ppc/*: No
such file or directory
ERROR: compilation failed for package 'anchors'

I'm not really sure what I'm doing wrong. Would a different version of
anchors, like 1.9.2, work on a PowerPC Mac? Any other suggestions?
