Subject: Opportunities in IBM Research
To: King at

Dear Prof. King,
My name is Saeed Bagheri, an MIT alumni and a current research scientist in
IBM Research working on services science. Currently, we have two openings
here in IBM T J Watson Research Center; one for a two-year post-doc
fellowship and one for a permanent research staff both in areas below. Could
you please distribute this among graduate students and post-docs affiliated
with IQSS? Anyone who may be interested can send their CV directly to me.
Areas of interest are: (1) Econometrics (semi-parametric methods and
instrumental); (2) Medium-scale and large-scale assessment (accountability
and incentives systems); (3) Statistical learning methods for
high-dimensional data with applications in genetic epidemiology,
environment, causal analysis, racial difference, social stratification,
etc.; and (4) developing a science of service delivery (analogous to
Computer Science, but focused on facilitating services rather than
computing)
The start date is very flexible and support for international candidates is
available. For more details description, please see the attached document.
Best,
Saeed
