Hey John,
You can save whatever output as part of the workspace. I've not really
heard of saving output separate from the workspace image, although you
can save a subset of objects as an .Rdata file rather than the entire
workspace. Alternatively, you could export individual dataframes into
other file formats using the "foreign" library.
Saving your workspace on the server is no different from saving it
locally. Set your working directory, then type:
save.image("filename.Rdata")
To save individual objects type:
save(objectx, file="filename.Rdata")
Then you can easily email the files to yourself from a web browser
(just type "firefox" in the terminal).
Best,
Jon

We have a massive output file that took hours to run

How do we save it? And how do we save the workspace? I'm working on the
servers...
Thanks!
John
