who can do quantitative assessment including survey design and
analysis. The pay grade is large, $78K to $193K, so the offer

Job Summary: Reporting through the office of the Provost, the Director
of Institutional Research and Educational Assessment will be responsible
for continuing development of the Institute's effort to generate and
assess data for use in campus-wide decision-making, resource allocation,
strategic planning, and institutional assessment processes, especially
in regards to its academic programs. Working with a wide range of
academic and non-academic units, the Director will lead the collection
and assessment of Institute data, provide leadership in planning
institutional research, and develop assessment protocols for the
Institute. This position will also work closely with campus leaders to
develop a plan that meets the needs of academic and administrative
divisions and will guide self-assessment and data collection efforts
across the Institute.
Job Duties:
* Oversee and conduct internal surveys, including survey design,
administration, analysis, and reporting.
* Working with the relevant faculty to develop analyses and evidence for
the assessment and improvement of our educational programs.
* Coordinate assessment for accreditation reviews.
* Perform applied research including analytical and statistical studies;
collect and analyze data, interpret trends, and present findings and
recommendations.
* Prepare documentation, reports, and presentations of internal research
studies.
* Review and coordinate external reporting requirements.
* Other duties as required.
Basic Qualifications:
* Masters degree with at least five years of full-time higher education,
planning, or evaluation experience, including three years at a
management or leadership level.
* Experience in the design and implementation of all phases of
institutional research with an emphasis on academic assessment and
student learning.
* Demonstrated record of success in program assessment techniques.
* Expertise in working with electronic databases and software packages,
including Oracle and statistical databases.
* Expertise in designing, conducting and analyzing surveys.
* Understanding and command of assessment and best practices in higher
education.
* Experience with the accreditation process.
* Ability to work well with people at all levels in teams and
committees.
* Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
* Outstanding organizational and administrative skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Understanding of and ability to apply institutional research and data
collection models.
* Ability to analyze data and advise planners and decision-makers on
data and assessment needs.
* Ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative empirical data.
* Knowledge of quality improvement processes, assessment, and
benchmarking.
* Ability to plan, organize, and direct others in the formation of
program and policy in the operation.
* Ability to coordinate multiple projects and tasks, set deadlines, and
complete projects accordingly.
* Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and management skills.
