Hi Abby and everyone,
Totally good questions.
1) in terms of length, no more than 3 pages is the key parameter for this
portion of the replication assignment.
2) Both. To the extent that you can easily implement your suggestions,
do try them out, and see which look promising. But make the most helpful
suggestions you can, irrespective of whether you have the time to
implement them.
We can talk more about this tonight in section.
Best,
Dan

I seem to have missed some of the details for the
replication assignment and
didn't see them in the instructions. So, two quick questions.
1) Are there any length parameters for the memo?
2) If we make suggestions for extensions of the paper, to what extent should
we have attempted them with the data, or should they just be good
suggestions based on the substantive information in the article and our
knowledge of the first principles of various models and other techniques?
In other words, should we be suggesting ideas for our classmates to follow
up on or should we be implementing our ideas given the data?
Thank you,
Abby
