He has arranged a grand finale lecture on statistics and Whisky, followed by a grand Whisky tasting -- you all are invited! Both events are in Science Center (Lecture 309; tasting, 7th Floor Stat Dept.) For those who have ever used or heard about Wishart Distribution, that's David's father. Apparently, it runs in the family, as David has its own Distributors! :-) Yves told me that we have already received about 20 bottles of Whiskies from various distributors. David will speak to us about his application of clustering methods to whisky tasting and classification (please see attached flyer).
