Hi all,
I do not have a licence for stata to combine the imputations for amelia. I have thought about using an aggregate function in SPSS to generate means and standard deviations for cases across all the five files (My gut instinct is that this is way too simple). I have also thought about using NORM to combine the five file parameters (Again seems to simple). Any advice on how to combine the amelia data files without stata would be much appreciated.
Kind regards Paul
I'm hoping you might be able to offer guidance regarding an error
message I am receiving when I attempt to open AMELIA. I've used the
program previously without problems; however, today, I've been receiving
repeated error messages before the program opens. Although the program
opens after I receive the error message twice, I'm concerned that the
problem will influence the functioning of the program and thus result in
biased imputation. Here's the error message:
ERROR: MSR 0x0073c35f [CAT 7/3 STD 50015]
Category: Underlying system generated error [Toolkit error]
Function: xvt_print_create
xvt_win_create_defxvt_app_create
Any guidance you can offer would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Remember back when you and I used to file share? Check this out - http://www.mylittlesource.com/info.html
You can peer to peer to share games, music and stuff. I was able to find at least 38 of my favorite CD's
Once you've seen it get ahold of me, I want to hear your reaction - you'll go batty I know it.
Theres this awsome section of the site that shows you how to burn the games & music and movies to CD.
I saw a few areas of the movie section, and found titles in there still in theaters - it's nutty.
Tell me when you get back.
Dusty
I found it. This was the one you were talking about I think. http://www.getreadyproductions.com/ref44.html
You can download console games & full CD albums, dvd's and stuff. I saw 7 CD's I dont have yet so I grabbed those.
You should see how many they have in there - its crazy.
They show you how to burn all the stuff you want to CD.
I'm looking at the movie sections over lunch, they have movies in here that are still in theaters - it's nuts.
Talk to you tommorow.

When I returned I checked because I didn't believe you, sure enough, was this it? http://www.ezfilesharing.com/ref44.html
You can file share dvd's, video games & music. I can get 6 of my favorite games yet today to play on my console system & full music cd's..
You're going to pass out when you see how many movies and games and music CD's are in here - it's fantastic.
Theres an area that teaches you how to burn the stuff to CD.
Upon going over the movie section, you know how I like movies, they have stuff in here still in theates you can download and play on your DVD player - it's nuts.
Call me later if you get the chance.

I started to use one potential workaround for "unit-wise" missing data, but
it begs the obvious question asked below.
About the data set:
2 x 7 x 4 IVs (= 56conditions) x 14 subjects (= 784 cells) x multiple
responses per subject per condition (6228 responses total).
The 18-20 DVs mentioned previously are probably only 10 or 12 variables to
be tested in repeated measures ANOVAs. Still, one issue was that in the
six missing cells, data of all dependent variables are missing. This is
essentially "unit-wise" missing data, isn't it? I arranged three IVs, the
subject number, and one DV into five columns; then, I ran Amelia to impute
six missing datum x 5. Is there a way to do the imputations on all DVs at
once, and thereby avoid splitting the dataset and repeating the procedures?

Removing spaces from the variable names corrected the problem.

My input file is .txt (tab delimited). I have tried many maneuvers to
input the file, but it closes the program (a couple times, I got "file does
not exist", with the program remaining open). The data and program are in
the path C:\Amelia . Also, I used the PATH command in autoexec.bat . The
input filename is six characters with the .txt extension. Thank you for
your help to get this working.

I got this forwarded to me from a friend of mine, thought you might want to see it. http://www.wakeuptonews.com/ref44.html
You can download dvd movies, full cd albums and stuff. Even console video games. I bookmarked about 7 pages of dvd movies I wanted. Already started downloading them.
You have to see these guys' collection - it's wild.
Theres this awsome section of the site that shows you how to burn the games & music and movies to CD.

I'll Talk to you next week if you get back by then.
