Hi all,
I do not have a licence for stata to combine the imputations for amelia. I have thought about using an aggregate function in SPSS to generate means and standard deviations for cases across all the five files (My gut instinct is that this is way too simple). I have also thought about using NORM to combine the five file parameters (Again seems to simple). Any advice on how to combine the amelia data files without stata would be much appreciated.
Kind regards Paul
Hi,
I'm having a problem loading data into the Windows version of Amelia. When
I type the filename into the "Name of Input File:" field, Amelia simply
terminates.
I don't know if this is related or not, but I also couldn't start Amelia
from Windows mode by double-clicking on Amelia.bat. I had to start it
from DOS.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Dear Dr. King,
I'm hoping you can provide some information re: the imputation of
dichotomous variables with AMELIA. I'm wondering about how problematic
it is to use the "ANOMS" command with dichotomous variables. I have two
situations in particular about which I'm curious. In the first dataset,
I have too many dichotomous variables to be accommodated in the "AMORDS"
command, and have thus, used the "ANOMS" command for the remaining
variables. In the second dataset, I have found that when using the
"ANOMS" command in greater proportion for imputing numerous dichotomous
variables, AMELIA successfully imputes five datasets rather than ending
abruptly in the final phase of the program (i.e. just prior to imputing
the 5 datasets).
I would be most grateful for any information you can share on this
topic.
Thank you,
Malitta Engstrom

Dear Dr. King,
I was finally succesful to run AMELIA program and obtained five data sets.
The descriptives statistics indicate that, though, some value imputation
goes beyond the range of a variable. For example, the range between 1 "not
at all" and "5" very much" does not hold any longer. Do you think it's
okay?
Second question:
I'm fitting SEM via LISREL. To my understanding, I need to run my model five
times, produce each gamma and beta coefficient with standard errors five
times and, finally, average the coefficients and SEs across the five data
sets. Am I correct?
I'd really appreciate your reply...
Sincerely,
Hye-Jin Paek
