hmmmmmmm. One thing you can check is that Amelia needs to be installed in
a directory with no spaces anywhere in its name (including dirs higher in
the directory tree on the same path).

Hello Prof. King,
Sorry to bother you with this but I am having trouble running
Amelia. I have checked the listserv and FAQ but don't see a thread on
this problem.
In short: I downloaded and installed the latest release for
Windows (v.2 7/15/2001) in an 'amelia' directory. I then run the batch
file from MS-Dos and the front end works fine. When I get to the input
program step I encounter a problem that I did not have in the previous
version of Amelia which worked fine on the same computer (P3-850 Mhz, 128
meg RAM).
Problem: "Cannot find the file 'C:\Windows\Command.com' -- so I
cannot load the input data file. File is in compatible Stata 5 format.
I find the
command.com file easily in the Windows directory where
it should be. Again, I did not have any troube running the previous
version of Amelia on my same computer.
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Alan
