Hi,
I've been running Amelia on Windows. I have a dataset with 16 variables, and 480
observations. I was able to run this data set through Amelia without any problems, but I
then realised that I needed to constrain the imputed values of two of the variables. So I
replaced one column of my data with its logit transformation, and another with its log
transformation, to constrain them to between 0 and 1, and greater than 0 respectively. But
ever since I've made these changes, whenever I try to read my data into Amelia as a
text file the program simply just shuts down, without error messages or anything. When I
try to read it in as an excel file, the program can't find it (I was having this
problem before too though). I've tried renaming variables and kept all my variable
names short (no spaces), but it doesn't seem to make any difference. Basically, the
only thing that has changed is the data in two columns, so I'm really puzzled about
why the program now crashes. I would greatly
appreciate it if anyone could tell me what is causing this problem, and how I can get
around it.
Many thanks,
Julia de Kadt
