Hi Nazil,
Try opening up R and running this line of code:
install.packages("Amelia", repos="http://cran.r-project.org")
Then restart R and try these lines again:
library(Amelia)
AmeliaView()
I hope that helps!
cheers,
matt.

Hello,
I am somewhat new to Amelia. I had previously successfully run Amelia a few times with
Windows XP and just reinstalled R and Amelia on my new device which runs Windows 7. I have
successfully installed R but would prefer to use Amelia View as standalone program as I am
a novice at R as well. Whenever I try to load Amelia View the black window shows up for a
split second before vanishing. I also installed R and Amelia on a Windows Vista machine
with the same result. I tried searching through the mailing list for fixes and tried
loading Amelia from within R but am getting an error message every time. I also tried
running R and Amelia with administrative privileges in case it's an issue with later
versionof Windows. More specifically, here's the error message:
Loading required package: tcltk
Loading Tcl/Tk interface ... done
Error in structure(.External("dotTclObjv", objv, PACKAGE = "tcltk"),
class = "tclObj") :
[tcl] couldn't open "C:/Program
Files/R/R-2.15.0/library/Amelia/doc/gallery19.gif": no such file or directory.
If anyone knows a fix to this, I'd appreciate a response.
Best,
N. Avdan
