Hi Melissa,
It's difficult to know what the problem is without a few more details. What version
of R are you using on what operating system? What version of Amelia do you have? You can
find the version of Amelia by typing the following at the R command prompt:
packageVersion("Amelia")
The most likely issue is that things are out of date. In that case, you can try to update
Amelia by opening R and running the following code:
install.packages("Amelia", repos = "http://cran.r-project.org")
library(Amelia)
AmeliaView()
Hope that helps!
Cheers,
matt.

Hi there,
I would like to use the Amelia program to impute data for my dissertation however I am
encountering a problem I have seen also occur in past posts (May 2005). However the link
provided in the response to this post no longer works...
I am following the install directions as they appear on your website, however the Amelia
file won't open. When I double click it flashes open and then immediately closes. It
does the same thing when I attempt to open it from R.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Many thanks!
Melissa
