I am getting the following error message when trying to run amelia for windows:
_AMvarnm has too many variable names to match each variable in the
dataset. Delete variable names, or set _AMvarnm=. for default variable
names (default = var1 var2 ... ).
Amelia for windows does not allow me to specify the _AMvarnm value, as far
as I can tell.
Have narrowed my dataset down to 20 variables, 2 of which I am identifying
as ordinal (-1, 0, 1 for one of them 0, 1, 2, 3 for the other).
It is a TCSC data set with 15 countries, 39 years, N = 585. 9 variables are
fully specified, remainder missing bet. 30 and 90 observations. any
suggestions? I know the suggestion has been made in other situations to
work with a smaller data set. Does that mean eliminating fully specified
variables helps, or just that I should try eliminating variables which are
missing data?
