If anyone is using the first version of Gauss 5.0, they will find that
Amelia-for-Gauss will not run because of a new reserved word, loada.
Since loada is also a proc in Amelia, it generates a conflict. I've
talked to Aptech about this and they have agreed to rename their reserved
word (from loada to loadarray). They hadn't documented loada in their
first release and so this shouldn't cause their other users any problems.
The new version of Gauss 5 is numbered 5.0.15 and it will be available on
Monday or Tuesday for download. Ameilia-for-Gauss should run fine then.
Thanks to Thomas Flottemesch for finding the problem.

Dear Sirs;
Unfortunately, it appears Dr. King may be correct, and this is a program
error. As advised, I input the following from the command line:
» proc loada; retp; endp;
and encountered the following:
(0) : error G0276 : 'loada' : Illegal use of reserved word
(0) : error G0055 : retp outside of procedure
(0) : error G0158 : endp without proc
I also tried this (not that I expected any different):
» proc loada; retp; endp; loada(4);
(0) : error G0276 : 'loada' : Illegal use of reserved word
(0) : error G0055 : retp outside of procedure
(0) : error G0158 : endp without proc
However, and this may be of interest to you, I reset Guass. Then, I did the
following:
» loada(4);
(0) : error G0008 : '(4)' : Syntax error
» loada; (Although nothing happens at this command).
Apparently, loada is some new command in Guass 5.0. However, it does not
exist in the reference, nor it is listed in the the Guass library file or
called in any existing procedures I know of. Given the many new import
options in Guass 5.0, I suspect Aptech may have reserved any load**
combination for future releases. But, that is pure speculation.
Anyway, please keep me posted on any progress. I am very excited to start
using Amelia.
My machine specifications are:
O/S: Windows XP
Ram: 128
Guass Version: 5.0
Sincerly yours
