That's right, inside the figure environment use \caption{your text}.
Sometimes if your caption is a long paragraph, a smaller font size looks
best. You can set the text size with \small{} or \footnotesize{} inside
\caption{}.

Hi all,
Does anybody know how can I add a note to a figure using Latex? By
"note" I mean a brief explanatory paragraph that visually matches
the inserted figure.
Best,
