A colleague at CEPR recommended that we reach out to you as a source
in a search for the Strategic Data Fellows.? We are recruiting for
eight positions in four cities, and four more in two states.??Our
timeline is aggressive. This year we have an ?Early Selection? option
with a deadline of July 2, 2010 ? which is designed to give us a way
to fast track the most competitive applicants. ?The ?General
Selection? deadline is July 21, 2010.? I am writing to ask for your
help in recommending potential candidates.

About the SDP Fellowship
SDP Fellows are talented individuals who possess a unique passion for
bringing data and evidence to bear on policy decisions that have the
potential to drive substantial gains in student achievement.? Fellows?
work will be grounded in substantial analytical skills and experience.
?Successful candidates will possess strong leadership, practical
experience, and the communication skills necessary to help their
agency (and others) embrace a culture that will value and utilize
data-driven goals and perspectives.
In collaboration with four school districts ?Albuquerque, Denver, Los
Angeles, and Philadelphia?and one charter management organization (Los
Angeles), as well as two states, SDP will be working to promote a
culture of data utilization to inform key policy and practice
decisions that directly affect student achievement. Entering its
second year, SDP is generously funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates
Foundation.
