Subject: Recommendations?
To: King at
harvard.edu
Hi Dr. King,
We met last summer when I had recently moved to Boston from San Francisco
after Jeanne Hammond put us in touch. I very much appreciated your help in
talking to me and helping me get the lay of the land here in Boston. I?m
now happily working over at the Crime and Justice Institute.
I?m hoping that you may be able to help me out again. We are looking to
hire recent graduates or appropriate individuals interested in program
evaluation who have quantitative analysis skills and good writing skills.
In particular, we?re looking to hire one or two Research Assistants (these
would be either strong undergraduate candidates or individuals with a
masters degree), as well as a PhD with quantitative skills and
research/evaluation design experience. Since you head up the Institute of
Quantitative Social Science, I thought you might know of people who would be
interested that you could recommend. We?re working on writing up a more
specific job script which I can get to you but I thought I?d see first if
there was anyone who came to mind.
I hope that everything is going well.
Best wishes,
Christina
