Hi Mark,
Apparently there are 2 problems: (1) there is some kind of error in
the Amelia
installation file, which means you need to install from R, and (2) Amelia has
not yet been updated for R 2.4.0, which means you can't load data with
AmeliaView.
I was able to get AmeliaView to work by installing R 2.3.1 (to solve
the data
loading problem), and then installing Amelia from that version of R. I
was able
to load data using AmeliaView under this configuration.

Quoting Mark Manger <mark.manger(a)mcgill.ca>ca>:
I have exactly the same issue as Garrett, under the
same conditions--
no Amelia I installed, etc. Same error messages on a Windows 2K
machine. James' suggestion unfortunately didn't solve the problem...
I cannot load any data.
But interestingly, I can do so from R. It's just AmeliaView that
doesn't seem to work
Does anybody know what the problem might be?
