Mark,
Garrett earlier pointed out to us two problems in the current
installation procedures, one of which is now fixed, the other should be
fixed very shortly.
The setup executable file, is now fixed, and can be downloaded from:
http://gking.harvard.edu/amelia/setup.exe
This is an executable file that will set up the libraries for you, and
create desktop shortcuts, etc. Usually, you would do this if you want to
run the AmeliaView stand alone, without dealing with R. However, this
will still create the R libraries for you.
The online install, which you would usually run by typing at the R prompt:
install.packages("Amelia",repos="http://gking.harvard.edu")
is
not yet running in the newest R version, 2.4.0, which came out October
3rd. If you are still running R 2.3.x, then this command will still work.
Hopefully this will be running for R 2.4.0 shortly, and I'll send a
message to the list when it is up.
If you are having problems in addition to installation, let me know.
regards,
James Honaker.

I have exactly the same issue as Garrett, under the
same conditions--no
Amelia I installed, etc. Same error messages on a Windows 2K machine. James'
suggestion unfortunately didn't solve the problem... I cannot load any data.
But interestingly, I can do so from R. It's just AmeliaView that doesn't seem
to work
Does anybody know what the problem might be?
